We will learn the importance of when and how to rope up: short roping, long roping, simul-climbing, setting up belay stations, and leading pitches. Ridges are one of the most elegant and exciting ways to traverse the mountains. Progressing through exposed terrain, combining easy climbing sections with exposed stretches, requires technique, concentration, and good safety management.
This course is designed for people who want to start ridge progression or improve their skills in alpine terrain. You will learn the basic techniques to move fluidly and safely in this environment, always adapting the level and difficulty to the group’s experience.
We will work on both technical aspects and terrain reading and decision-making, with the aim that you can tackle future ridges with more independence and confidence.
