This introductory climbing course is designed to offer a first contact with rock climbing in a safe, progressive, and fun way. You’ll learn the technical and safety basics needed to start moving on the wall with confidence.
During the session, we’ll work on the essential concepts of climbing: basic gear, correct use of the harness and helmet, main knots, belaying techniques and communication between climbing partners, clipping the rope, lead and top-rope climbing, as well as learning how to set up an anchor with total safety.
Additionally, you’ll start getting familiar with the fundamental movements of climbing: foot placement, balance, body positioning, and reading the rock. All of this will be practiced directly on routes adapted to your level.
The goal is for you to finish the day with a solid foundation to continue climbing independently and with more confidence in the mountains.
You will learn about the essential gear to start climbing:
You will learn to climb more efficiently by leveraging technique rather than strength:
Safety is a fundamental part of the course.
We will also discuss good practices in the mountains:
Aleix Vilardebò | Mountain Gourmand
After more than twenty years of climbing and the last few years guiding people in the mountains, I can say that this is what I am truly passionate about. Sharing experiences, training, and accompanying others comes naturally to me.
Just as many people in the world of mountains and climbing have shared their knowledge with me over the years, I also like to pass it on to help others gain autonomy, confidence, and safety.
Because, ultimately, it’s about enjoying the journey, moving freely, and feeling comfortable doing what we love.
You will need to bring basic equipment:
Technical and collective equipment necessary for the activity is provided:
The course includes a certified Climbing Technician, accident insurance,
and liability insurance.

No. The course is aimed at people who want to start climbing or have very little experience.
Not really. In climbing, technique and body positioning are much more important than they seem. We’ll adapt the routes to your level so you can progress comfortably.
Yes. We’ll start climbing on top rope and progressively move to lead climbing, always under the constant supervision of the guide.
No problem. At any time, you can rest or come down from the wall safely using the belay system.
Tell me what you have in mind—whether you’re sure about the course or still have doubts—and I’ll get back to you with a tailor-made proposal: dates, level, and everything you need to know. No strings attached.
